A proud alumnus of Llamas Memorial Institute, Mr. Mar Christian V. Cruz (Class of 2014), in collaboration with Guido Jonker of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, has discovered the first confirmed Philippine Urban Micrometeorite.
Named PHMM 001, the micrometeorite was found on a rooftop in Balon Anito, Mariveles. Though extremely tiny in size, this remarkable discovery represents a significant milestone in Philippine meteoritics and highlights that groundbreaking scientific achievements can begin right here at home.
